The Analyst Commercial Services works closely with the Logistics, Trading and Producer Services Teams to ensure all transacted commercial deals and volumes are actualized in Right Angle and ready for Settlement. They provide strong support to the Manager, Commercial Services in Analytics, Reporting and Reference Data. They will also provide coverage and support to all Commercial Services team members.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Helps to manage day to day issues within the Commercial Services team as they arise.
  • Provides strong support to the entire Crude settlement process – helping all team members meet deadlines.
  • Helps to manage Invoice Disputes by liaising with Traders, Pricing & Scheduling teams.
  • Reviews deal entry for accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Supports invoicing process to ensure all invoices are created and sent while meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Ensures all fees and tariffs are accrued for month end and paid on time.
  • Liaises with Scheduling to manage all pre-pays and sublease invoicing activity.
  • Strong support for month end close duties to ensure accuracy of forecasted financials.
  • Reviews system for uninvoiced and unpaid transactions for accuracy – makes corrections as needed.
  • Responsible to stay current with and prepare for all expansions and new business-related activities including new logistical movements and changing customer demands.
  • Demonstrates customer service focus on all ongoing business activities.
  • Provides ongoing support, coverage and training to all Commercial Services team members.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


What You’ll Bring

  • Proficiency in Right Angle ETRM program.
  • 3-5 years of experience in directly related field.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently.
  • Ability to recommend and implement changes to procedures and controls.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office systems, especially Excel.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and prioritize tasks based on importance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibits strong time management and critical thinking skills.


Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Knowledge Considered an Asset

  • Post secondary degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field preferred.


Working Conditions

  • The majority of the work is performed in an office environment.
  • Travel may be required 10% of the time.
