SOCIAL WORKER SUPERVISOR

SOUTH EAST ZONE (Remote New Brunswick locations possible)
The Department of Social Development is seeking an individual to join the After hours Emergency Services team as a Social Worker Supervisor in the Moncton Zone with the possibility of remote locations in New Brunswick.
The After Hours Emergency Social Services delivery model is a shared responsibility between the South-East Zone and Regional offices and provides service from 4:30 pm to 8:15 am during weekdays and on a 24-hour basis on weekends and holidays. The AHESS Supervisor provides clinical consultation and direction to both AHESS and regional on-call Social Workers.
As a member of the AHESS team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the work of Social Workers and other professional staff as well as the management of staff which includes recruiting, determining training and developmental needs, resolving conflicts, setting performance objectives, evaluating performance, providing advice and clinical support, as well as providing motivation and coaching. Duties also include the responsibility for the planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing of the activities related to the delivery of Departmental programs. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Working variable hours and weekends. Candidates must have their own means of transportation. Travel within and outside the zone may be required.
In order to be appointed, candidates must be actively registered with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers and will be required to undergo a Criminal History Clearance, as well as an SD Record Check (under the Family Services Act) prior to appointment.

Salary: $ 81 536 to $ 97 292 per annum
