Overview
Responsible for increasing the velocity of brands in a set universe of accounts within a specific geography. Incumbent builds relationships with account-level key influencers & decision-makers and is responsible for the sell-in of strategic initiatives at key accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Improve merchandising and visibility of brands in accounts, including display placement and POS utilization
· Educate Account Staff on key items with an emphasis on new items as they are sold
· Identify account opportunities/distribution gaps and initiate the sell-in of new items
· Responsible for selling-in and in some cases executing strategic initiatives at key accounts
· Responsible for performing surveys during account visits & capturing in CRM tool
· Schedule and administer on-site product promotions and signage
· Builds relationships with key account gatekeepers (owners, budenders, customers) and conducts staff training to build brand loyalty and knowledge
· Monitors and maintains up-to-date awareness on product information, company initiatives and promotions, advertising, and industry trends
· Develops account detailed “Call List” with key contact and call schedule
· Responsible for daily Pre-Plan of activities and daily/weekly recap of results and accomplishments to team manager
· Manage a robust budget, taking time to evaluate ROI’s and communicating successes/learnings
· Propose new ideas/methods on how to improve performance, maintains a positive, can-do attitude, and influences others to gain support for an idea or cause
· Responsible for product distribution and placement in conjunction with SGWS/GND sales team
· Collaborate and communicate store level plans with Brand Agents, Sales People, and Sales Mgmt. to ensure proper resource allocation
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Two - Five years of industry-related sales experience within the distribution, retial, or supplier community
· Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance by Provincial laws
· Ability to communicate with enthusiasm for the product and category
· Capable of managing multiple projects on tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality output
· Proficient at calculating commissions, percentages, and reviewing comparative sales data for analysis
· Stay apprised of federal, provincial, and local laws affecting the beverage/alcohol/cannabis industry within account responsibility
· Comprehensive understanding of cannabis, categories, basic production, and service
