Overview

Responsible for increasing the velocity of brands in retail accounts within Alberta. Lead brand education and builds relationships with account-level key influencers & decision-makers. Responsible for the sell-in of strategic initiatives at key accounts and execution of industry events. .

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Educate Account Staff on brand key items with an emphasis on new items as they are sold
  • Schedule and administer on-site product promotions and signage
  • Builds relationships with key account gatekeepers (owners, budtenders, customers) and conducts staff training to build brand loyalty and knowledge
  • Monitors and maintains up-to-date awareness on product information, company initiatives and promotions, advertising, and industry trends
  • Improve merchandising and visibility of brands in accounts
  • Identify account opportunities/distribution gaps and initiate the sell-in of new items
  • Responsible for selling-in and in some cases executing strategic initiatives at key accounts
  • Responsible for performing surveys during account visits
  • Develops account detailed “Call List” with key contact and call schedule
  • Responsible for daily Pre-Plan of activities and daily/weekly recap of results and accomplishments to team manager
  • Manage budget, taking time to evaluate ROI’s and communicating successes/learnings
  • Propose new ideas/methods on how to improve performance, maintains a positive, can-do attitude, and influences others to gain support for an idea or cause
  • Responsible for product distribution and placement in conjunction with GND sales team
  • Collaborate and communicate store level plans with brand agents, Sales People, and Sales Mgmt. to ensure proper resource allocation
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of industry-related sales experience within cannabis distribution, hospitality, or supplier community
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance by State laws
  • Ability to communicate with enthusiasm for the product and category
  • Capable of managing multiple projects on tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality output
  • Comprehensive understanding of cannabis, growling methods and techniques, and recreational product assortment

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hours
  • May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
