Day shift (Monday to Friday)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Oversee all day-to-day accounts receivable and collection functions

* Review credit applications and process approvals;

* Monitor potential risky customers and determine if a customer account should be put on hold or cancelled

* Set up, maintain, monitor & update records for all clients’ accounts and profiles

* Complete and review accounts receivable aging reports

* Reconcile AR related sub-ledgers and GLs each month;

* Prepare report on deficiencies in client payments; investigate problem accounts and rectify

* Complete all proxy forms for bankruptcy and CCAA protection

* Monitor the Grimshaw driver collect accounts and communicate concerns to all stakeholders

* Responsible for managing all account claims for receivables

* Develop and enforce policy and procedures specific to accounts receivable department

* Work closely with other departments

* Promote “On the Road to Quality” at all time

* Other duties as assigned by the Controller

REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE :

Experience working in a similar role with a minimum of 3-years of previous experience

Completion of post-secondary studies at a university level would be considered an asset

Knowledge of transportation industry would be considered an asset

Knowledge with use of TruckMate would be considered an asset

Ability to work with and manage confidential information and use independent judgment

Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Excellent business and problem solving abilities

Strong analytical sense, with excellent attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as a member of a team

Be creative, flexible and able to drive/ guide change

Strong excel skills to analyze AR data, proactively identify issues and generate solutions

Experience:

Accounts Receivable: 5 years (Preferred)

Credit Management: 3 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
