The photographer plays a key role in the production of high-quality images, as well as the development and maintenance of an efficient production studio. The ideal candidate will possess an eye for detail, experience in photography and have a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Review and organize daily tasks, ensuring all files are prioritized effectively to meet production timelines and client expectations;
Capture images that meet GS1 Canada standards, ensuring consistent quality;
Evaluates and assesses the condition of sample products received and determines if condition is good or require a high level of work effort for the graphic artists team;
Optimize images capture techniques to ensures image exposure, lighting and colors are set up appropriately for each product standard;
Ensures that proper naming convention is used to file images;
Ensures all photography equipment required is present and functional to maintain maximum studio efficiency;
Assists in improving production efficiencies and workflow;
Align work practices with the studio's "center of excellence" values, focusing on quality and efficiency;
Ensures that images are delivered to subscribers within established deadlines;
Perform additional duties as assigned, remaining flexible and proactive in supporting the studio's dynamic needs and goals.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
College diploma in photography or equivalent;
1-3 years of experience in product photography;
Experience in capturing products, table-top photography, 2D, planogram, Ecommerce and nutrition an asset;
Relevant knowledge of the mechanical workings of photographic equipment;
Experience with Master lighting studio technique;
Proven proficiency in Photoshop in a professional environment;
Relevant experience in Photo lab (Digital and/or film);
Attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring quality standards are met;
Must be able to lift, push pull, and bend to pick up products up to 49 lbs up to 25% of the time;
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time or climb a stepladder;
Good communication skills, both verbal and written French;
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, respecting diverse perspectives and contributing to shared goals;
Adaptability and flexibility to manage change and remain productive in dynamic environments;
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
