Job Description


The Director, Digital Health is responsible for implementing, optimizing, and enhancing innovative digital health solutions that enhance patient care and drive operational efficiency. This role involves strategic planning, overseeing project delivery, and fostering collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of digital technologies within a large and diverse healthcare community. The role aims to advance and achieve the objectives of the Digital Health & Technology Roadmap ('CTRL SHIFT CARE'):

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in healthcare management, information technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional experience and career progression will be considered in lieu of the require or preferred educational background).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital health or healthcare IT, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. A working knowledge of hospitals or the health system in Ontario is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, telehealth platforms, healthcare data systems, and various productivity and collaboration tools. Experience with Hospital Information Systems, including implementation, optimization, enhancement, and augmentation, is highly valuable. Knowledge of interoperability standards such as FHIR, as well as an interest or experience with artificial intelligence or machine learning and synthetic data, is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex contracts and vendors, ensuring successful partnerships and optimal outcomes.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management abilities; strategic thinking; strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated expertise in building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated innovator who is curious and unafraid to investigate, pilot, and implement novel solutions that position the organization as forward-thinking.
  • History of delivering high-quality outcomes and continuously seeking to measure and improve performance.
  • Committed to the development of self and team through various approaches such as continuous learning, training programs, workshops, and mentoring.
  • Understands that service delivery involves working closely with clients and stakeholders to co-design solutions that meet the needs and desires of the business and its customers.
  • Enthusiastic about presenting, sharing, and celebrating the work they do, engaging stakeholders with passion and excitement.
  • Highly motivated and capable of taking initiatives from concept to delivery, demonstrating independence and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills

  • Proficient in ITIL-based service and change management processes

Hours:
Monday to Friday, days, subject to change based on operational requirements

Salary: $70.569 to $88.211 per hour
