Manual Machinist

Hamilton Machining & Fabricating, a successful jobber shop for over 50 years has an opening for an experienced manual machinist. Successful applicant must be self-motivated with a positive attitude, able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to communicate effectively in English

Job requirements:

- operate lathes, drilling and milling machines (CNC experience not required)

- Interpret shop drawings and customer blueprints

- work to close machining tolerances and verify dimensions

- fit and assemble machined parts and assemblies

- operate jib and overhead cranes

- maintain shop equipment

Preference will be given to applicants with additional mechanical skills (equipment disassembly and reassembly, pumps, gear boxes etc.

Pay: $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
