Our global support network includes base maintenance; line maintenance; component and engine repair and overhaul; and Engineering and Design within our 500,000 square feet of international facilities in Vancouver, Canada; Stavanger, Norway; and Rzeszow, Poland.
Heli-One has opportunities for Structures AME’s (S or ACA rated) who will be Responsible for maintenance to airworthy standards, inspecting and releasing maintenance for contracted maintenance support our Trenton location.
Responsibilities
Follows approved repair/modification procedures for component or aircraft, consulting internal procedures that have been TC approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points
Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before submitting for final release inspection; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
Performs serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals.
Completes work package documentation after finishing all designated operations.
Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and recertification of airworthiness.
Work shifts/weekends as required
Frequently operates dangerous machineries requiring safety equipment such as safety eyeglasses, hearing protectors, work boots and hard hats
Constantly exposed to noise, fumes, gas, chemicals, dust or dirt
Occasionally exposed to extreme temperature or humidity
May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Valid Transport Canada AME “S” Type license or Military ACS training on helicopters
Minimum 3 years’ Structures experience
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to process complex systems and logically think through problems
Results oriented with a focus on quality
Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
Knowledge of aviation standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to take direction and follow instructions
Works on shop floor involving frequent lifting of materials up to 30 lbs
Must have the legal right to live and work in Canada
