Cellar Hand - Full Time

We are looking for someone to join our production team as a full time cellar hand. While previous winery or production facility work would be an asset, past experience is not a requirement.

Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery was established with our first vintage in 1988. At that time we were one of a very few estate wineries dedicated to producing premium quality wines made from 100% Ontario grown grapes. Today, Henry of Pelham is a 200K case producer in Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula.

Henry of Pelham works with numerous grape varieties to produce a diverse portfolio of wines. We have a wide range of winery equipment that we use daily in our various cellar activities.

Examples of Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and sterilizing winery equipment and tanks
• Transferring, racking, blending
• Carrying out various additions
• Filtration: crossflow, lenticular, pad filter, DE filter, lees filter
• Barrel Work: filling, topping, emptying, cleaning
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized cellar

Eligibility Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Able to lift 25kg and able to work at heights
• Willing to work longer hours and night shift hours and during the harvest period (September to November, up to 60 hours a week, shifts may include nights and weekends)
• Forklift training/license is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
