Summary

The Web Merchandiser is responsible for managing Homes Alive Pet's online customer support, coordinating product listings on the website, and working closely with the marketing and purchasing departments to schedule promotions and seasonal merchandise.

To achieve success as a Web Merchandiser, you should possess experience and knowledge in customer service and website management.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in grocery or retail.
• Experience in website management is an asset.

Job Responsibilities

• Create new products on the website, ensuring that the product images and descriptions communicate all the necessary information to online customers.
• Maintain existing products on the website, which includes enabling or disabling SKUs and updating images and product-related information (sizes, description, specifications, price).
• Build category and brand pages when necessary.
• Schedule markdowns and promotions on the online store, ensuring that the correct price and corresponding banners are displayed.
• Work closely with the marketing and purchasing team to ensure that the seasonal merchandising promotes the right type of products.
• Liaise with store operations and customer service to fix any reported errors and improve the online customers' shopping experience.

A Day in the Life of a Web Merchandiser

The job of a Web Merchandiser is always dynamic. On a typical workday, you will arrive for your shift and review the projects assigned to you. The type of project varies depending on the day, workload, or time of the month/year. Most of your day is spent uploading new products on Magento (e-commerce platform). You will also frequently use other web tools, such as Canva, RMS, and bLoyal.

Schedule

• Full-time (40 hrs/week)

Compensation

• $20-24/hr. Salary is commensurate with experience.
