Retail Store Manager

Into Chocolate Candy and Confections is an independently owned sweet shop with 2 locations (Cloverdale and Fort Langley). The Fort Langley location is a retail shop selling soft serve ice cream, hot chocolate and with fudge production on site. The store manager will oversee and be actively involved in the retail operation and be involved with fudge packaging. Into Chocolate is a unique and fun environment and will provide a great opportunity for the right person to advance their management skills. This position will be approximately 30-35 hrs/wk.

Responsibilities of the job include:

• Ensuring that excellent customer service is provided at all times.
• Supervising, scheduling and training staff.
• Involvement in the hiring of new staff as needed.
• Monitoring and maintaining stock levels/rotation on the retail floor.
• Maintaining neatness and cleanliness of the store.
• Creating interesting, enticing product displays.
• Ensuring that store supplies are maintained at operational levels.
• Maintaining backroom organization.
• Weekly fudge scoring and wrapping.
• Perform all POS operations and do cash outs according to company policy.

Qualifications:

• Must love chocolate and candy!
• Minimum 5 years retail/customer service experience.
• At least 2 years supervisory/management experience.
• Familiar with spreadsheets and comfortable working with Microsoft Excel.
• Be creative and detail oriented with exceptional organization skills
• Have a positive, motivational management style.
• Committed to superior customer service.
• Experience with inventory management.
• Food Safe Level One.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Education:

• Secondary School (required)

Experience:

• Retail sales: 5 years (preferred)
• Supervising: 2 years (required)
