Construction Site Supervisors must perform diverse tasks to ensure that construction projects are meeting deadlines and being completed in a safe and timely manner. The roles and responsibilities of a Site Supervisor includes:
1. Manage Construction Teams- Manage 4-5 projects, project scheduling and creating an open team environment. A Site Super is a hands on manager of various laborers working on a particular construction project. The Site Super makes sure that teams are working together with the sole objective of completing a project while adhering to deadlines, specifications and codes. They are likely to be involved in selecting specific contractors and sub- contractors and ensuring that these individuals are working well together.
2. Safety and Building Practice Codes- A site Super must be able to document the progress of each project to ensure it is meeting the specifications of the architect and engineer while maintaining safe work practices and following all guidelines concerning building projects. They may hold regular meetings with workers to review worksite safety. Site Supers are also required to communicate with inspectors about compliance and building codes and assist with on site inspections
