We are a team of 2 chiropractors with a combined experience of 14 years with our Kanata location servicing the community for the past 4 years. We are currently looking to hire a full-time office administrator.

Kanata Chiropractor is seeking a full-time, office administrator. The successful candidate will be joining the clinic to assist the chiropractors with day to day administrative/front desk duties and help in patient management.

Your tasks will involve helping with back-end administrative duties including but not limited to payment processing, insurance submissions, tracking of key performance metrics of the clinic and preparing financial reports for month ends. The other component of your job responsibility will be front desk duties such as making phone calls, responding to emails, working on the computer, filing, and scheduling appointments.

Although having a background in health/fitness is an asset, it is not a requirement for the position. Applicants with experience in HR, data-analysis, experience with Microsoft excel and a demonstrated proficiency with technology will be preferred. More than anything else, the successful candidate will need to possess excellent demonstrable communication skills (both verbal and written), a track record with references showing reliability as part of a team, ability to work with different personality types, strong multi-tasking skills and ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Working hours are from Monday to Friday for a total of 34.5 hours/week. You must be available during all of these hours to be considered for this position.

  • Monday: 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm
  • Tuesday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Wednesday: 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm
  • Thursday: 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm
  • Friday: 7:00 am to 1:30 pm

Starting wage will be paid at $20/hour. There is a 3 month probationary period followed by a performance review and discussion of increase in pay based on merit.

Vacation pay will accrue bi-weekly on pay cycles but there is no paid sick leave or paid vacation days in this position. Extended health benefits will be offered after the 3 month probationary period.

Please specifically mention in your cover-letter if you have experience working with Microsoft excel, Canva Pro or any HR, accounting or electronic health record software. All training will be provided on the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.50 per week
