Receptionist /Animal Care Assistant
Duties:
- Provide daily care and maintenance for animals in the vet clinic- Ensure animals are fed,
watered, and have clean living spaces
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary or dental staff
- Assist with animal handling and restraint during procedures or examinations
- Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, equipment, and common areas
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, treatments, and observations- laundry, general cleanliness of the facility
Assist with answering the phone, booking appointments, discharging patients ,selling food, unpacking orders, stocking shelves.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary office environment ( 1 year minimum) is a must
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques - Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with veterinary or dental staff and clients
- Basic computer skills, experience with Avimark an advantage
Please note that this position may require occasional evening(to 6pm) or weekend hours(1-2 Saturdays per month 9-3pm based on the needs of our patients. We offer competitive compensation for eligible employees.
