Keyera Career Opportunity Job Type: Permanent THE POSITION Keyera is currently seeking a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician to join the Maintenance & Reliability Team at Keyera’s Alberta EnviroFuels Facility in Edmonton, Alberta. RESPONSIBILTIES Conduct predictive, preventative and corrective regular maintenance on all instrumentation and controls equipment. Provide troubleshooting and problem solving with specific attention to safety, quality and plant production. Order parts, create work orders and capture equipment history in CMMS. Supervise on site contractors providing job plans and mentorship as required. Provide technical input of design on new proposed I&C projects. Assist with commissioning, training and spare parts strategies. Create and manage Management of Change (MOC) work packages, insuring all completed work adheres to engineering, regulatory and design engineering scope. Provide job coordination duties during facility shutdowns. Develop and implement maintenance and shutdown job packages. Ensure all work packages, equipment settings adhere to manufacturer and engineering design specifications. QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications: Instrumentation Technologist Diploma with Journeyman Interprovincial Certification. Minimum 10 years of post-certification experience in Oil/Gas/Petrochemical industry. Sound technical capability with well-developed computer skills. Strong team player with a commitment to safety, health, environment and financial accountability. Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, work in all weather conditions, and be available for afterhours callouts. Experience working in a live plant environment, and/or shutdown commissioning and start-up experience an asset. Vendor training or experience with the following equipment would be considered an asset: Maximo, Yokogowa analyzers, Metso, Fisher, Valtek valves, Bentley Nevada vibration monitoring, ABB 800XA DCS, Modicon & Allen Bradley PLC’s, Ohmart nuclear devices. This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face. A valid driver’s license and ability to provide 5-year standard driver abstract (clean driver’s abstract).
