As the Field Safety Advisor at Kinetic Energies Inc., you will work collaboratively with operational staff, employees, and contractors to cultivate a positive health and safety culture and community, by way of implementing and maintaining the Kinetic Energies Safety Management System. The Field Safety Advisor will observe and understand the current site operations, equipment, and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and ensure that current HSE rules and standards are applied and maintained. The successful candidate will report to the team leader and collectively provide health and safety support and advise to the multidisciplinary team on-site. This position combines administrative work (approximately 20-30% of the time) with on-site presence (70-80% of the time).
An Overview of Responsibilities:
· Be an HSE Leader and be present regularly on-site, conducting walk-abouts, monitoring, mentoring, and providing support.
· Act as the on-site liaison between operations and the corporate safety team, communicating concerns, corrective actions, incident trends and safety performance.
· Review leading and lagging indicator reporting and provide guidance and coaching to operations staff as needed.
· Review and audit equipment safety inspections, tailgate meetings, FLHAs and safety observations completed by staff.
· Collect, review and upload safety documentation into database and maintain digital data files as required.
· Assist with Safe Work Practice and Procedure review and development.
· Assist with on-site orientations and confirm site training requirements.
· Recommend measures to ensure worker health and safety.
· Prepare weekly and monthly HSE statistical reports.
· Produce and follow-up on corrective action notices as required.
· Assist in the development and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans.
· Participate in daily start of shift meetings, daily progress meetings and present at weekly progress report meetings.
· Receive and manage safety, environmental and regulatory incident events, and conduct, and/or participate in the conducting of, investigations and the implementation of corrective measures along with their follow-up.

Skills and Qualifications:
· Understanding of the Oil and Gas Industry, and pipeline construction is a key asset.
· Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Acts, Regulations and Codes
· Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Drive and WorkHub an asset
· Occupational Health & Safety Certificate, NCSO or equivalent.
· Minimum 2 years experience of industry experience or equivalent in a similar position.
· Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
· Valid Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent.
· Live local to Grande Prairie area, or willing to relocate (this is not a camp-based position & NO loa).
