Intermodal AZ Driver (Ottawa, ON)

Kriska is hiring experienced drivers for our Intermodal division! This is a great opportunity for experienced tractor trailers drivers that want a better work/life balance by being home daily! If you choose you could maximize your earnings by staying out all week in a sleeper truck and still enjoy weekends at home. Drivers enjoy no touch freight, steady full time work, company subsidized benefits from hire and more! Drivers with 1 year or more of current tractor trailer experience are welcome to apply! Previous experience at the ports in Montreal is an asset, but not required.

Intermodal drivers are responsible for the movement of containers from the port and railyards in Montreal to various destinations in Ontario. Drivers will pick up loaded containers from Montreal and deliver them to various customers in Eastern Ontario and then return empty or loaded containers back to Montreal. Most deliveries are live unload with a driver often staying hooked to the same chassis for several days at a time. These positions allow drivers to return home to Ottawa each night although drivers may choose to stay in their sleeper unit to maximize earning potential. Safety and patience are key considerations as drivers will be spending time in congested and busy rail yards with large equipment.

Opportunity Details:

• 1 year of verifiable Class-1/AZ experience in Canada or the US is required
• 2 shifts available: 6 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and Enjoy your nights and weekends at home! OR Maximize your earnings and stay out on the road Monday to Friday in a sleeper berth truck and Enjoy your weekends at home!

• Pay is a mix of mileage and hourly with bonus programs. Earning potential of up to 90K per year!
