Interested in joining a dynamic organization and amazing staff team doing great work? Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre seeks a Bookkeeper to manage and execute its bookkeeping functions.
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be able to live in Whitehorse, Yukon and must be a Canadian citizen or have landed immigrant status with authorization to work in Canada. This is not a remote work position.
Opened in 2012, the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre is one of the Yukon’s premier gathering locations, hosting a wide range of functions and celebrations and operating one of the largest meeting spaces in Whitehorse. This Centre contains a diversity of spaces appropriate for conferences and conventions, workshops and weddings, cultural events, and experiences. In addition to its event centre activities, KDCC curates its own cultural programming to promote understanding and appreciation of what it means to be a member of Kwanlin Dün First Nation and a member of a Yukon First Nation. KDCC operates all its programs and services within a responsible fiscal context and maintains a strong financial track record through excellent financial management.
THE JOB
The Bookkeeper reports to the Comptroller.
Bookkeepers Duties include:
Salary: $35-$40/hr based on experience, with approximately 8 hours a week.
Contract Term: March 18, 2024 - October 31, 2024
