Analytical Chemist

LCS Laboratory is looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist, who will be a part of our ISO 17025-2017 accredited laboratory: www.lcslaboratory.com

Formal Job Requirements
The candidate must:

- have a B.Sc. in Chemistry (Not Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry)

- have 3 years experience in Analytical Chemistry in commercial or industrial laboratory in Canada. School time excluded.

- have practical knowledge of GC, HPLC, FTIR, Microscopy

- know how to maintain and troubleshoot instruments

- understand requirements of ISO 17025 accreditation system

- be self driven and can work independently

Job Duties
Chemical analysis of Industrial Hygiene samples, Bulk Asbestos, and Bulk Materials using various techniques

-Operation and use of wet chemistry, microscopes, chromatographs and spectrometers

-Method Development

-Method Validation.

-Writing laboratory reports

-Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments

-Maintain and revise quality assurance and control program results

-Revision of laboratory reports prepared by other team members

Resume Requirements

- Please outline your instrument troubleshooting skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
