Job Summary:

We are seeking an apprentice or Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with experience to support us on our industrial oil & gas projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on Suncor Baseplant Maintenance. You’re a team player who is willing to lend a hand whenever assistance is required to get the job done.

Applicants that reside in Fort McMurray will be given preference due to the location of this project or that that would be willing to relocate.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on various hydraulic & diesel equipment both Marine and Land
• Implementing continuous improvements, and supporting new system installations, production strategies, and plant reliability
• Ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined individual with a preference given toward those with a Heavy Equipment Technician apprenticeship or Journeyperson certification that is recognized by a provincial authority
• Previous experience on an industrial site is an asset
• Communication and team player attitude
• Physically fit with the ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions:

• Transportation service available from Fort McMurray to site each day
• $50 living out allowance provided for every day worked
• shift rotation 14 days on / 14 days off, working 12 hours per day
