Lewis Mouldings is a leader in the Eastern White Pine value added industry; manufacturing a wide variety of finger jointed, solid and edge glued Eastern White Pine Moulding Products.

The primary responsibility of the Woodworking Machine Tech Operator is to efficiently and safely operate the various machines used in the wood moulding manufacturing process. In this position, Techs are expected to take ownership of the quality and quantity of product produced during his/her shift, along with set up, programing and operating one or more woodworking machines used in the moulding manufacturing process. This position is also actively involved in continual process improvements, both identifying and implementation. The Machine Tech Operator is expected to work in a hands-on fashion the majority of the time.

Job Requirements

  • On the job training is provided.
  • Company courses may be required for some jobs within this group.
  • Aptitude for math, problem solving, computers, and mechanics.
  • Communication skills, written and spoken, in English.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others.
  • Proficiency with hand tools.
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Experience in woodworking would be an asset.

Work Environment

  • Work takes place in an indoor plant environment.
  • Day shift from 6am to 5pm.
  • Night shift from 5:00pm to 5:30am.
  • Work requires repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods and can be physically demanding.
