Shop helper/cleaner

Logistec Stevedoring, a fast-growing company, is currently looking for a new team member to fill the position of shop helper at Logistec Great Lakes Hamilton maintenance facility. Reporting to the Regional equipment manager, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting day-to-day maintenance of our equipment repair facility.

What your days look like as a shop helper:

• Report to the maintenance manager or Parts and maintenance coordinator for tasks; 
• Cleaning of the maintenance facility;
• Organization of Parts warehouse;
• Organization of tool crib;
• Help maintenance facility stay up to date with all safety and compliance regulations; 
• Pick up parts at local vendors using company truck;
• Assist with small, planned facility upgrades;
• Cleaning of equipment and company vehicles.

To be successful as a shop helper you must have:

• Experience in a similar position;
• Comfortability in a shop environment;
• Good manual capacity;
• Be self-motivated;
• Have the ability and willingness to see potential safety risks and bring them to management;
• Have a Full G license in Ontario;
• Dependability is a necessity.
