Maria Montessori Preschool (MMS) has provided an exceptional educational experience for all Saskatoon and area children for 25 years.
MMS was established in 1997 and continues to offer a safe and intellectually stimulating environment for all children. In 2018, we became the first licensed Montessori Preschool in Saskatchewan.

Maria Montessori Preschool is looking for an early childhood educator to work in our school. We are looking for individuals that have a passion for working with young children and supporting their development in a unique early learning environment.
We are currently hiring the following position:
- Full-time Level 2 or 3 Early Childhood Educator
In this role, you will:
- Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families
- Build positive relationships with children and seek opportunities to deepen connections with parents and families keeping them up to date on their child's progress
- Be a creative educator who is actively engaged with the children
- Support students through a combination of open-ended and structured learning activities
- Ensure supervision and safety of children at all times; Understand and comply with provincial, municipal and MMS policies and procedures.
- Observe and expand on children's learning opportunities and complete required documentation of children's development and interactions.
- Listen to and respond to children's needs which includes diapering and assisting children with toileting
- Clean and sanitize childcare spaces, toys and equipment
You bring:
Early Childhood Educator Certificate:
- An Early Childhood Educator Level 2 or 3 issued by the Ministry of Saskatchewan
- Valid CPR-C/First Aid certificate
General Qualifications:
- Montessori Education or Experience in a Montessori Classroom
- Minimum of one year experience working with young children
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification prior to the first day of work
- Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending and stooping; picking up a child
- Ability to work outdoors
- Flexibility and adaptability regarding assigned working hours
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging
- Applicants are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age or older as per Ministry guidelines
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.06-$27.93 per hour
