Position Overview:

Marvonnay Studios is in search of a meticulous and organized Production Accountant Volunteer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in production accounting within a dynamic and growing film and TV production environment. The Production Accountant will be responsible for managing financial aspects of our productions, ensuring accuracy in budgeting and expenditures, and supporting financial reporting processes. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our projects and contributing to the overall success of our productions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and managing production budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
• Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements for production-related costs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation for all production expenditures.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow statements, and budget forecasts.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information is provided.
• Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies.
• Help with the preparation of financial information for audits and funding applications.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team, including data entry and filing.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in film and TV production, with a focus on financial management.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Previous coursework or experience in accounting, finance, or film production is advantageous.
• Experience with accounting software or financial management tools is a plus.
