Forklift Operator/Labourer

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift for the unloading/loading of stock.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift and following safe work procedures
* Reporting safety hazards or production/quality issues immediately to the supervisor
* Operate forklift for unloading/loading building materials.
* Accurately count/report and maintain stock inventory levels
* Assist in the monitoring of customer delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery
* Perform routine quality checks and complete quality checklist reporting and correcting any non-conformance
* Follow Company policies and procedures
* Perform warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operations.
* Assist in loading and offloading trucks
* Other duties as assigned

Qualification & Requirements:

• Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Valid forklift certification or equivalent knowledge and experience operating a forklift; willing to be trained as (required)
• Valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience
• Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
• Able to work a weekly shift rotations
• Climbing up and down stairs
• Bending and standing with weight
• Have the ability to work independently without constant direct supervision

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
