As an Intern Systems Integrator you will be a member of the Software Factory at NAVBLUE. The Systems Integrators are product experts who understand and verify the use cases, functional and non-functional behavior and specifications of their respective products.

To be a successful Systems Integrator, you should possess the ability to think about complex systems as a whole, understanding the interconnection between components, their inputs and outputs and the properties of each.

Responsibilities:

  • Product and Systems Knowledge: Work and collaborate with product and systems subject matter experts such as Product Managers, and Architects to gain knowledge of the product’s and system’s use cases, functional and non-functional behavior, system’s components interconnectivity properties and their respective input and output specifications.
  • System Assessment: Evaluate systems’ and its components existing technology infrastructure, integration specifications to identify integration needs and opportunities.
  • Design and Planning: Collaborate with Architects, Release Train Engineerings, Product Managers, development teams and other internal teams to analyze, design and plan comprehensive systems integration and verification activities.
  • Integration Test Development: Develop, configure, and customize continuous integration tests to ensure seamless data flow, and correct functional and non-functional behavior.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve integration issues, troubleshoot compatibility problems, and implement solutions to optimize performance. Investigate system complaints, perform root cause analysis of failures, and propose remediation in a timely fashion.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, configurations, and changes to ensure clarity and transparency.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and offering support throughout the system integration process. Challenging peers while improving processes and proposing process optimizations. Promoting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Defect Management: Report defects in defect tracking system and verify fixes for defects.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Science or related technical discipline.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Software testing experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience testing systems using automated testing methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge in programming languages, and scripting.
  • Experience working on distributed systems, and microservices.
  • Experience working in a SAFe or Agile environment.
  • Experience with Performance Testing or Load Testing.
