Job Summary:
New Leaf Daycare Centre is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged six weeks to five years old. You will work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure the well-being and development of the children in your care.
Responsibilities:
Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote learning and development in all areas
Observe and assess children's progress, and use this information to inform lesson planning and curriculum development
Provide individualized support to children with special needs or challenges
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development, and any significant incidents or observations
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement special events and activities
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Requirements: 2 year diploma in early childhood education, certified by Ministry of Saskatchewan with level 3 equivalency.
Proven experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting
Understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education
Ability to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for children
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CPR & First Aid Required
Police Check with VSC required to join
Must have legal status to work in Canada
