ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Nimble Information Strategies Inc and Spacesaver Solutions Inc are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting, managing financial reporting processes, managing payroll, and ensuing compliance with regulatory requirements for all corporate entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate in day-to-day accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations and payroll.
· Ensure payroll, T4’s, ROE, vacation calculations are processed in a timely manner.
· Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including invoicing, billing, and expense management.
· Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Canadian ASPE.
· Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
· Assist with annual budgeting process and prepare regular forecasts to support financial planning and decision making.
· Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings or recommendations.
· Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
· Prepare and monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
· Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business growth opportunities.
· Continuously improve accounting and financial processes to support organizational growth.
· Assist the CFO in special projects and initiatives as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
· CPA designation preferred or working towards designation is mandatory.
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance role
· Strong knowledge of Canadian ASPE and financial accounting principles.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ADP system preferred.
· Experience working within a multi-entity environment.
· Excellent communication and people skills
