Position Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 education

• Good communication skills and attendance record

• Basic computer knowledge

• Basic mathematical skills required

• Physical demands require lifting and handling of equipment as well as extensive standing and walking

• Ability to lift up to 25Kg

• Well-developed organizational skills

• Ability to work in fast paced environment

• Excellent customer service skills with proven success in working in a team environment

• Basic inventory control experience considered an asset

• Basic knowledge of Meditech Materials Management an asset
  

Nature of Duties:

• Responsible for cart, replenishment, IV distribution and computer input. Fills orders, stocks shelves and

reports shortages. Processes mail. Receives and delivers supplies and equipment. Maintains a clean

environment.

• Ensure units get necessary supplies on time

• Supply carts are replenished according to quotas

• Phone orders are handled efficiently

• Requisitions for stock items are accurately filled

• Data input is completed with accuracy on a daily basis into Meditech

• Identify and record insufficient quantity of items in stock to handle Unit needs; shelves are restocked;

shortages are noted and reported

• Participate in Quality Assurance Programs

• ensures excellent customer service is carried out

• interacts with all levels of personnel professionally

• Ensures that proper methods of transporting supplies and equipment are being carried out

• supplies are properly loaded and transported to prevent damage to supplies and equipment

• proper lifting techniques are adhered to, to avoid personal injury
