Position Overview
In close communication with the Soft Content Manager, the Assistant Floor Manager oversees the daily production activities on the floor, ensuring soft content is processed efficiently and in alignment with time constraints, customer expectations, and program requirements. This role involves coordinating workflows across various stations, maintaining quality standards, and adapting to scheduling changes to meet delivery deadlines. The Assistant Floor Manager serves as a critical link between the production team, the Manager, and customers, ensuring smooth operations and high satisfaction levels.
Key Responsibilities
Production
- Ensure soft content is processed efficiently through all stations, adhering to:
- Time constraints set by the Manager.
- Program and XactAnalysis requirements.
- Customer expectations.
- Adjustments to scheduling.
- Monitor and measure station standards daily, ensuring goals are consistently achieved.
- Ensure the final product meets quality standards set by the Operations Manager and is ready for delivery or storage.
Station-Specific Duties
- Receiving:
- Oversee the intake of items from the pack-out crew.
- Note special instructions (e.g., detergents, RUSH items) and ensure claims are prepared for inventory, tagging, or packing.
- Communicate emergency completion timelines to the Manager for delivery scheduling.
- Tagging/Pack-Out:
- Direct taggers on processing priorities and verify all garments are accounted for.
- Ensure completed pack-outs are sent for invoicing.
- Monitor and measure output twice daily.
- Cleaning/Folding:
- Set cleaning priorities and track progress.
- Coordinate movement of hang-to-dry clothing and review drying status each morning.
- Identify items for pressing or packaging.
- Dry Cleaning:
- Deliver tagged clothing to dry cleaning and communicate cleaning priorities.
- Ensure claims remain organized and separated.
- Monitor progress through this station.
- Pressing:
- Manage dry-cleaned and hang-to-dry items in “holding pattern.”
- Prioritize pressing based on claim timelines.
- Track daily output.
- Packaging:
- Oversee claim organization by room and scan items for completion.
- Ensure items are packaged for delivery or storage.
- Monitor and measure station productivity.
Administrative and Support Duties
- Update records in Tromis, Restorenet, and XactAnalysis (training provided)
- Prioritize claims and ensure all stations follow set timelines.
- Address staff questions in the Manager’s absence.
- Schedule appointments in the company calendar.
- Answer phone calls and maintain clear communication with customers.
- Replenish supplies and ensure readiness for production activities.
- Promote and enforce a healthy and safe work environment in compliance with Joint Health and Safety Committee guidelines.
General Duties
- Ensure all staff complete mandatory Health and Safety training.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to support team and company objectives.
Work Schedule
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Overtime hours as determined by the Manager or General Manager
