NORTH YORK FAMILY MEDICINE CENTRE is growing and seeks to hire again!

North York Family Medicine Centre is multi-disciplinary medical group rooted in family medicine. We are a comprehensive family medicine practice complemented by specialists. For over two decades, our family physicians have been on staff at North York General Hospital and are proudly part of the North York Family Health Team.

We are looking for one full-time contract Clinical Assistant / Medical Office Assistant to work at our clinic. We are dedicated to delivering superior patient care in a warm and welcoming environment while leveraging technology in an innovative way to improve patient care and access. The position places a significant emphasis on excellent customer service skills, excellent clinical skills, teamwork, and ongoing development.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a flexible and quick leaner to assist with our office flow, give injections and immunizations. You must have experience in the health industry. We can teach you the details of our fast-paced office.

We use technology and online tools (such as online appointment scheduling, video calls and patient messaging) to enhance patient care and streamline the operation of our clinic.

Excellent proficiency with computers and technology is a must, and strong writing and customer service skills will be highly valued.

An intramuscular Injections course is a must. Ideally you have taken this course prior to starting with us.

Experience with AccuroEMR would be an asset.

General Responsibilities.

  • Managing the daily flow of the family medicine clinic
  • Utilizing a high level of attention to detail to process various workflow assignments, including but not limited to: taking vital signs, assisting with giving injections & immunizations, contacting patients/labs/medical offices, managing vaccine cold chain and equipment sterilization.
  • Contributing to a strong culture of teamwork, integrity, and service excellence
  • Supporting physicians via investigating and resolving administrative tasks
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced office environment (minimum 1 - 2 years)

Details.

Weekdays between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, however we value flexibility and will give consideration to individual preference where possible.

This is a full-time position onsite

The pay will start from $19-21/hr. Medical and vision care are included at no cost to the employee and should be considered part of the total compensation package. Benefits start after the 3-month probationary period.
