Position Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented B.I. Analyst with an expertise in internal insights and evaluation. This role will involve collecting, processing and analyzing data to offer valuable insight that can assist our senior leadership in strategic planning and internal decision-making. This position works with various teams to support internal programs, recruitment efforts, employment outcomes and organizational growth by leveraging data analysis, data visualization and insights.

The B.I. Analyst also focus on the external environment in which NPower Canada operates. He/she analyzes market trends, competitor performance and graduates’ behavior to support marketing strategies and service development (training and employment). Combining the use of internal and external sources enables a tailored strategy to uncover facts, achieve stronger results and improve overall performance.


Accountabilities & Deliverables

Data Processing, Analysis & Interpretation

  • Collect, process, and analyze data related to internal programs and organizational performance.

  • Monitor and analyze real-time data streams to identify trends, anomalies, and key performance indicators.

  • Implement strategies for capturing, processing, and interpreting data in real-time.

  • Provide insights into program outcomes and recommend improvements for optimization.

  • Design and create monthly/bi-weekly internal reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key findings.

  • Develop visualizations and reports to communicate historical trends effectively.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of historical data to identify patterns, correlations, and insights that can inform decision-making.

  • Create compelling and informative dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

  • Communicate complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner to Senior Leadership.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by implementing rigorous quality assurance processes.

  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.

  • Regularly audit and validate data sources to identify and rectify discrepancies.

Organizational Insight & Strategic Support

  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to support organizational development initiatives.

  • Work closely with all teams to understand organizational needs and challenges.

  • Collaborate with leadership to align data initiatives with strategic organizational goals.

  • Contribute to decision-making processes by providing data-driven insights.

Identification of market and business trends

  • Collecting, integrating, and analyzing data from various sources to identify market trends and business insights.

  • Developing and recommending business intelligence solutions to meet the organization's needs.

  • Conducting market analysis to benchmark performance and identify new opportunities.

  • Translating complex external data findings into understandable, actionable business language for decision-makers.

Team Collaboration and Documentation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, and finance.

  • Work closely with internal teams such as Outreach, Admissions, Account Management, Alumni Education to understand data requirements and provide analytical support.

  • Foster a collaborative environment to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Document methodologies, analyses, and findings for reference and transparency.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources and reporting processes.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.

  • Proven experience in real-time data analysis, historical trend analysis, and forecasting.

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

  • Experience with database management and data warehousing.

  • Knowledge of business intelligence concepts and practices.

  • Understanding of organizational development concepts and principles.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Being a strong team player is critical with the ability to adapt to changing requirements or deadlines in support of goals.

  • Highly motivated and self-aware to work autonomously.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, driven and results-focused.
