The Role

We are currently recruiting two Rock Truck Drivers to support our Midstream client, Centerra Gold. This Tailings Surge Pond project is located at Mount Milligan Mine in British Columbia.

• Shift: 14 days on, 7 days off rotation, 12 hours per day, 6 am to 6 pm.
• Camp provided. $50/day camp bonus.
• This is a drive in/drive out job. You will receive $500 per shift for travel allowance.

Compensation/Benefits

• $36.30 to $38.15 per hour based on experience
• Overtime at 1.5 x after 8 hours per day
• 10% vacation and stat pay on all regular hours worked
• Benefits 50/50 split after 90 days with the company

Job- Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate and manoeuver heavy-duty 40 tonne articulated rock truck in a safe and efficient manner
• Transport materials such as rock, dirt and debris from one location to another
• Ability to safely operate assigned equipment
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Ensure a safe team environment
• Operate equipment while maintaining proper awareness of surroundings
• Understand and complete pre and post safety checks
• Compliance with all safety regulations
• Various other duties assigned by supervisor

Education/Skills/Qualifications

• Must have previous experience driving a Rock Truck in an heavy industrial setting
• Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract (no more than 4 demerits)
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Reliable vehicle – this is a drive in, drive out camp in a remote location
• Previous experience working in a mine
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Strong communication skills
• Valid CSTS 2020 Fundamentals ticket
• WHMIS 2015
• First Aid
• Familiarity with GPS and other tracking devices
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures
