Position Overview & Responsibilities
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for all aspects of internal inventory management for the Canadian operation operation located in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
Responsibilities Include:
- Verify and maintain current inventory stock levels of machined, cast, and purchased parts
- Perform quality control inspections on received goods (both internal and external) and manage tool damage reorder requirements
- Data entry using the Company’s ERP systems (WASP, IFS), and Excel)
- Stocking of consumables and shop supplies
- Placing internal Purchase Orders with the Manufacturing Department (E-Lab and Polymers)
- Sorting and allocating received parts to tool build kits
- Inspection and maintaining of tool spares kits
- Check in and check out items to field technicians such as Above Ground Markers (AGMs), spares kits, and other equipment being tracked
- Cycle counts of inventory on hand and weekly physical checks of inventory levels
- Setting min and maxs for critical inventory parts and assemblies
- Handle calls related to the incoming shipments or stock levels of parts and equipment within Canada and US
- In stock assembly rebuilds (odometer wheels/suspension arms)
- Coordination of HVOF (tungsten-carbide) recoating
- Assist with Shipping and receiving when required
- Other duties as required
Education & Experience Required
- High School Diploma
- 4 years of inventory control/management experience
- Hold an Alberta Class 5 Driver License (or equivalent, no GDL status)
- Ability to work with and learn inventory software
- Ability to operate a forklift (asset)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Basic mechanical aptitude considered an asset

- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
- Strong social skills for communicating with coworkers and vendors
- Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift or carry loads up to 50lbs
- Strong time management skills
- Advanced computer knowledge
- Ability to stand on your feet or sit at a work station for extended periods of time
- Mechanical aptitude
