Mechanical Technicians are responsible for executing the mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, specifically for rotating and static equipment.

Area of Focus:

• Actively participate in HAZOP, JHA, and FLRA;
• Follow the appropriate Lock-out/Tag-out processes for commissioning;
• Follow system commissioning procedures that have been developed and approved;
• Participate in project Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT);
• Support walk-downs and the creation of punch lists;
• Vibration checks, temperature checks, RPM, and rotational checks of equipment;
• Pressure testing;
• Preservation.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Interprovincial Mechanic/Millwright ticket;
• 5 years’ commissioning experience;
• 5 years offshore experience;
• Must be able to travel.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Experience:

• offshore: 5 years (required)
• commissioning: 5 years (required)
• Oil and Gas: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Red Seal? (preferred)
