We are looking for a highly motivated Manager, Asset Management to join our Canadian Asset Management team located in Toronto . The Manager, Asset Management will be part of the Canadian Asset Management team and primarily support the Canadian residential portfolio while also contributing to the retail and office portfolios. The Canadian Asset Management team is principally responsible for maximizing returns and asset values, managing co-owner relationships, developing asset management plans, and collaborating with key stakeholders, including operations, leasing, development, and investment teams, to drive asset values. The Manager, Asset Management will gain exposure to all facets of asset management including leasing, operations, financing, accounting, research, marketing, investments, and development.
Responsibilities:
Oversee third-party residential property managers to ensure operating targets are achieved.
Lead the annual budgeting and ongoing reforecasting process for residential properties.
Lead a collaborative process with internal and external stakeholders to create, update, and maintain asset management plans and develop tools to track performance against plans.
Continuously improve analysis and reporting processes to provide actionable insights.
Analyze, report, and communicate financial variance and forecast reporting at the asset and portfolio level on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Establish and monitor operating, leasing, and capital expense targets.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives within the residential portfolio, Asset Management team, and broader organization.
Work collaboratively to support and coordinate the execution of financing, development, and investment mandates.
Complete ad hoc projects, such as presentations for senior management, property tour packages, and materials for internal committees, as requested.
Engage in the broader Oxford and OMERS community through participation in company and industry events.
Mentor and train colleagues by providing training, coaching, and constructive feedback to a dedicated group of Analysts supporting the Canadian Asset Management team.

Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or Engineering
6-8 years of work experience with a focus on residential real estate (asset management, leasing, appraisal, investments, or development), exposure to retail and office real estate considered an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of ARGUS Enterprise considered an asset.
