Labourer - Asphalt Paving

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for almost 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are looking for EXPERIENCED LABOURERS to join our ASPHALT PAVING DIVISION for the 2024 construction season.

These are seasonal positions that offer a competitive wage with benefits.

General Labourer primary duties will include but are not limited to:

• Loading the necessary tools from the one tonne onto the paver
• Measuring and marking all manholes and water valves prior to paving
• Supplying the rakerman with asphalt as required
• Cleaning up any asphalt piles left by the rakeman
• Assisting in site cleanup as required. Duties include cleaning rock piles, sweeping walks and gutters, picking up garbage, etc
• Sweeping the end joints for the roller operators
• Raising manholes and water valves with the rakerman as required
• Hand tacking any joints when required
• Keeping tools organized and accounted for at the end of the day
• Keeping the one tonne clean and organized at all times
• Filling sample bags as required or directed
• Operating the bobcat if qualified to do so or under supervision of a competent operator
• Assisting with cleaning or moving barricades for the tack truck driver
• Helping clean the paver at the end of the day
