We are a family-owned and operated cemetery and funeral home proudly serving Ottawa and its surrounding communities. At Pinecrest Remembrance Services, we combine over 100 years of tradition with modern services. As we expand to new locations, including our new facility and celebration center located at Highland Park Cemetery in Carp, we continue our commitment to exceptional care and personalized experiences.

About the Role

As a Cemetery Services Counsellor, your attention to detail and organizational skills will be paramount in ensuring seamless service for families. You will:

  • Provide guidance and support: Assist families in selecting cemetery arrangements, memorialization options, and planning ahead for their needs.
  • Communicate with compassion: Respond promptly and professionally to in-person inquiries, phone calls, and emails.
  • Stay highly organized: Keep track of multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously without losing focus or accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively: Partner with our funeral home team to coordinate services such as funerals, memorials, and celebrations of life.
  • Engage in sales: Present and sell cemetery property, memorialization products, facilities, and pre-planning services.
  • Maintain meticulous records: Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a candidate who:

  • Has impeccable attention to detail—accuracy is crucial in this role.
  • Is a master multitasker—able to switch gears without losing focus.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently via phone, email, and in person.
  • Brings at least 3 years of experience in both sales and customer service.
  • Thrives under pressure and can problem-solve on the spot.
  • Demonstrates resilience and can work with diverse personalities without taking frustrations to heart.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of—or willingness to learn about—the funeral industry and its cultural nuances.
  • Is bilingual (an asset, but not mandatory).
  • Holds a valid Ontario "G" class driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Maintains professionalism and a healthy work-life balance.

Location: Onsite at Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON, K2C 3H9
Schedule: Full-time, 3-week rotation, including every 3rd weekend and some statutory holidays and on-call responsibilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
