Truck Driver - Class 1

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Truck Driver to join our family run business. This is a Monday to Friday position with weekends and stat holidays off. No long haul loads. We serve western Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan with day trips only. Liquid hauling experience an asset, but not required. We haul our liquid supplement to our customers during the winter and summer involves spraying dust control to municipalities. We are based in Brandon, Manitoba.

Responsibilities

• Operate our commercial trucks (tandems, semi with trailer and super-b) to transport feed to our customers in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation laws while on the road.
• Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
• Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading freight.
• Assisting customers and general shop duties when not driving.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
• Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record (abstract required).
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is a plus.
