Grade 8 Teacher

The Pukatawagan Education Authority invites applications for  Grade 8 Teacher at Sakastew School for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Pukatawagan is a community of the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation located in northern Manitoba near the Saskatchewan border (North-East of Flin Flon, South of Lynn Lake, West of Thompson) in an area of beautiful lakes, rivers, and forests. We are seeking energetic, motivated individuals for principle-based, student-centered, teaching of provincial curriculum. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Manitoba Teacher Certification (or eligible)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Clear criminal record and child abuse registry checks
• Previous experience working with Aboriginal students is an asset
• Experience and/or training in Literacy interventions would be an asset.
