Social Media Marketing Assistant

Quark Baby is hiring a full time Social Media Marketing Assistant to support our business in the Vancouver Lower Mainland! Are you passionate about social media and looking to work with some of the country's best marketers? We would love to hear from you!

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage Quark's social media channels under the guidance of our VP Marketing, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube, etc efficiently and with professionalism.
• Create content based on the marketing strategy Quark's Brand Guidelines, develop the monthly social media calendars, outreach to find required parties and execute all tasks required for the creation and posting of creative assets in a timely manner.
• Plan and execute photoshoots and video shoots to ensure quality content is developed by coordinating with all parties involved in the interviews/content creation process (including but not limited to: Quark team members, influencers, partnering businesses and videographers).
• Assist in managing influencers as necessary until additional team members are onboarded.
• Provide administrative and project support for social media marketing campaigns and creative such as keeping records of compensation and working within an approved budget.
• Assist marketing team in creating and administering various marketing programs and materials through copy writing, public relations via social media, event marketing and social media paid marketing.
• Online reputation management for various locations
• Effective and timely communication with internal and external teams as assigned
• Research and stay up to date with marketing trends
• Other duties as assigned by your manager from time to time

The Quark Reality

• We're a start-up and we're running quickly. You'll need to perform "other duties as required". If we're headed to a tradeshow - you might need to get some business cards and t-shirts made. We've crafted the "box" of your role, but we expect (and encourage) to make this job yours. This is a hands on junior role, designed to work closely with the team, in office, each week. We're ok with minimal experience, we're looking for someone who understands social to grind alongside us.

Qualifications

• 1-2 Years – Experience in marketing within the baby or consumer packaged goods industries.

Competencies

• Strong background in social marketing principles & experience in running A/B tests for campaigns and deriving customer insights
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and Social planning suite.

Education

• Ideally a Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Marketing or other related field or equivalent experience. This is a junior role so we wont stress education too hard - hands on experience is fine!

Interview Process

• Initial phone screen (10 minutes)
• Meet and greet with team (30-45 minutes)
• Paid, one time social project to ensure you are who you say you are, and can do what you say you can do (1-2 days)

• It's a junior role, we're thinking 50-55k to start plus bonus and staff incentives
• Loads of room for upward mobility

Pay: $50,500.00-$60,810.69 per year
