Job Summary

Objective: To support and compliment the centre’s programs and services in responding to resident’s/client’s strengths, needs and preferences.
Location: 1001 Peter Robertson Blvd, Brampton, ON
Commitment: Minimum 60 hours, about 2-3 hours per week.
Interaction Level: Group setting and/or one on one with residents.
Responsibilities and Duties
Activation Programs (assisting the residents attending various programs including bingo, music, trivia, baking, crafts, games, gardening, etc.).
General Store/Tuck Shop/Corner Store (selling basic items and snacks to residents/clients/family members and visitors).
Dining support (assisting residents/clients at meal times).
Outings (accompanying residents/clients attending group outings such as shopping, restaurants and bowling).
Friendly visits (interacting with residents/clients one on one and supporting them in a variety of activities, including reading, writing, games etc.).
Ensure each resident/client is treated with respect and dignity and his/her choices and preferences are considered and respected at all times.
Provide Supervisor, Activation and Volunteer Services, with information on a regular basis (residents visited, participation level and length of visit).
