Risun Polymer International Co. Ltd is a leading producer of silane terminated polymers, and high-performance textile coating and finishing solution provider. Risun Polymer Canada (part of Risun Polymer International Co. Ltd.) is a polymeric material innovation company located in Hamilton, Ontario. We are seeking an enthusiastic laboratory technician.

DUTIES:

  • Support the R&D department in developing new products by conducting application test verifications according to standard operating procedures. Organize data reports and submit them to R&D, communicate with R&D, and propose improvement plans.
  • Perform application verifications for Risun’s developing andmanufactured products, optimize treatment process and standards, and create reports. Provide feedback, plans for small-scale test processes, especially auxiliary agent formulas, to the R&D and production departments.
  • Collection key factors, help modeling laboratory and R&Ddata analysis system, reviewing and developing to ensure analytical data integrity and validity
  • Help setting up SOP of laboratory and instruments, and routine operating inter control policies.
  • Address customer needs by preparing samples and identifying the most economical and effective formulas. Arrange tests based on samples and customer requirements. Engage in discussions and exchanges with R&D to refine auxiliary agent formulas, making necessary adjustments and retests until the best solution is achieved for the customer.
  • If need, visit customer sites to address and resolve issues, assist the sales team by laying out samples based on on-site conditions, and conduct tracking, testing, and comparisons to optimize formulas.
  • Provide technical support to sales by communicating with customers regarding abnormal products ‘performance or unmet standards.
  • Verify and test customer samples, conducting comprehensive performance and function tests on received samples according to customer requirements, and create reports.
  • Adhere to process safety management guidelines by developing equipment and instrument standard operation procedures and preparing maintenance plans for equipment and testing instruments.
  • Gather industrial testing standards (AATCC, ISO, ASTM etc.) and optimize internal testing methods for benchmarking to accelerate our progress.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor‘s degree in chemistry from a university of recognized standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in materials textile coating formulations development, processing, and testing.
  • Experiences in surface/interface characterization techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as a team-oriented mindset for collaborative research, are critical.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $45,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
