We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Associate in Burnaby, British Columbia. This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
Based on the national average, the anticipated base salary range for this role is $40,000 - $60,000 per year.
The Opportunity
The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for high volume processing of accounts payable transactions for multiple legal entities in North America. The primary mandate for the Associate will be to ensure all suppliers are paid on time, and that appropriate remittance process and internal controls are adhered to.
This Job Will Require You To
Research and respond to supplier inquiriesCollect, verify and maintain accurate and complete information on applicable suppliersAudit employee expenses for completeness and accuracyFiling and sorting paperworkAssist with month end closing and reportingReview and oversite of subcontractor insurance certificates and rental agreementsPerforms other accounting administrative duties as requiredFlexibility and willingness to work varied hours and occasional overtime hours Responsibilities
In this role you’ll:Review, verify and process invoices, purchase orders and expense reports from various offices and sale sites in a timely mannerAble to apply purchase limits, ensure appropriate authorizations, etc. in accordance with corporate controlsFollow up and obtain clarification on any discrepancies or inaccuracies on invoices and purchase authority limitsUses pre-set guidelines to code invoices to the general ledgerProcess daily check runs, electronic funds transfers, and wire paymentsInvestigate and resolve any unpaid or late invoices; reconcile supplier statementsResponsible for entering inter-company invoicesActively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers
Qualifications
Here’s what you bring:Associates degree in accounting preferred or equivalent college accounting course work1-3 years of accounts payable experience and experience working in an office environmentAccounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience is an assetExperience working with ERP systemsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationshipsOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. Organized, detailed-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent time management skills and the ability to always meet deadlinesSelf-motivated and able to work unsupervisedDemonstrated experience working well as a member of a teamA solid work ethic, without sacrificing your sense of humor or your ability to have fun on the job
