Summary:
RETLife – in River East Transcona School Division - is looking to fill two full-time term positions as Program Leaders for the RETLife Summer Camp program. Working in cooperation with the Camp Supervisors, RETLife Program Coordinator, and McLeod Adult Education Director, the Program Leaders are responsible for assisting with organizing and supervising camp participants aged 5 – 12 years old.
Responsibilities:
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in program development and activity planning – as you have the chance to put your skills and knowledge in action. This position is ideal for university or college students enrolled in programs focused on education, early childhood development, social work, recreational studies. or comparable education. Experience working with children and youth in recreational or camp settings is an asset.
The successful candidates will require a current CPR and First Aid certification. RETLife will cover the cost of this training, if required. Lifesaving or Lifeguard training and certification is an asset. External applicants, upon hire, must supply a Criminal Record Search and Child Abuse Registry check.
This position is supported through Urban and Hometown Green Team funding. Please indicate if you are between the ages of 18 and 29, have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year; are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or have official refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (foreign students are not eligible); and you are legally entitled to work in Canada.
