Are you a highly motivated team player who loves to work in beautiful environments outdoors? RLC Landscaping is looking for a Landscape Labourer to contribute to the ongoing success of our landscaping team.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in the ongoing success of our landscaping team. This is a permanent full-time position and a great opportunity for experienced workers to contribute and expand their knowledge along with those who wish to learn. The setting is outdoors and hands-on work for those who love to stay busy and be physically active. Beautiful views, great clients and a fun team make for an enjoyable day at work!
Responsibilities
· Follows written and verbal instructions from the crew leader and clients.
· Plants new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes.
· Maintains gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, weeding and fertilizing as required.
· Removes snow, ice and leaves as required.
· Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles.
· Installs outdoor lighting.
· Drives work vehicles to and from sites.
· Adheres to all safety precautions.
Skills and Abilities
· Detailed oriented and excellent organization skills.
· Service oriented and self motivated.
· Ability to work in a variety of outside conditions for extended periods of time.
· Safely operate equipment, including tractors, mowers, leaf blowers and aerators.
· Lifts 50 pounds and handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, pulling and climbing.
· Communicates effectively; speaking multiple languages is preferred.
· Works well independently and with a team
Education and Experience
· At least one year of landscaping experience is preferred, but not required.
· Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a clean driving record is preferred, but not required.
· Must be over 18 years old.
