Class 1 Truck Driver

ROCK Construction & Mining Inc is looking for a competent Class 1 Truck Driver for moving Heavy Equipment locally and across Canada.

Personal Attribules, Skills and Experience:

• Valid Class 1 drivers’ licence with air endorsement
• Clean drivers abstract
• Local to Kamloops area – Willing to travel
• Experience in driving heavy vehicles; mechanically inclined is considered an assett
• Ability to handle and transport goods safely
• Excellent knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and diagnose potential problems as they arise
• Familiar with transport permitting process
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player

The Role:

• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
• Transport heavy equipment and materials to project sites across Canada
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including Hours of Service restrictions
• Complete daily reporting - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean truck

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate 10% Holiday Pay
• ROCK offers regular performance appraisals and wage evaluations.
