We are currently looking for a Badging & Finishing Support Operator to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

You will be provided the coaching and training needed throughout the onboarding and orientation process that will build from your base of skills acquired from your past experiences.

General Accountability:

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the role of Badging & Finishing Support Operator will provide support to the badging and finishing process with the department.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Read drawings and follow detailed finishing and shipping instructions, processes and procedures
  • Generate bar code labels and badges using printers and computers
  • Use hand and air tools safely and as directed
  • Wear PPE as required
  • Organizing product
  • Operate a hoist in a safe manner (only after proper training)
  • Housekeeping as required
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform lifting – up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of safe lifting methods
  • Computer skills
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with hand and air tools
  • Working experience in manufacturing environment
  • Lean Manufacturing training and experience an asset
