Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates who excel at working with high risk youth and who possess favourable Youth Care Practitioner abilities. If you lack experience but are willing to acquire it, or if you have the experience and skills necessary to build relationships and achieve both treatment and organizational objectives, we want you for the position!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise youth during the overnight
  • Make sure the assigned duties of staff are completed
  • Responsible for fiscal management of the home
  • Oversee resident funds
  • Oversee resident’s schedules and weekly appointments
  • Act as liaison to all agencies involved in services for residents day programs
  • Ensure maintenance of the home is completed in accordance with the schedule
  • Maintain contact with residents’ families
  • Responsible for the management of residents’ medications (e.g. maintain supply, supervise passing of medications, and documentation)
  • Participate in required training
  • Maintain required records
  • Help with all policies and routines pertaining to health and safety of staff and youth.
  • Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of physical property and yard.
  • Monitor household duties Groceries, Cleaning, Maintenance
  • Perform any other duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time

Salary

$15.35-$19.85 per hour

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience working with at risk youth.
  • Availability to attend training, staff meetings, and group sessions.
  • Ability to learn and display de-escalation and trauma adeptness
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license,
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification;
  • Clear Criminal Record and clear Vulnerable Sector checks;
  • Clear Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Prior Contact checks;

Pay: $18.05-$20.85 per hour
